In 1992, while living in New York City, I began writing a courtroom thriller inspired by a story  I read in the New York Times.

I wrote about a hundred pages then put the manuscript in a drawer where it sat untouched for thirty-four years until 2026 when I finally got around to finishing it.

My first published work appeared in Eclipse, an illustrated black-and-white comics anthology, in 1981. That led to years of writing in different forms—a monthly column in Canadian Musician magazine, Welcome to the Jungle, a HarperCollins book on the music business, some non-fiction, and even co-executive production of an independent horror film. 

I’ve earned degrees in English Literature and Creative Writing from Temple University in Philadelphia and York University in Toronto and studied writing under Booker Prize winner Michael Ondaatje.

I now live and write near the beach in Clearwater, Florida.

Conspiracy of Law is my first novel. I’m already at work on the next one.
